We like to think of ourselves as a really public friend group.
ABIDO is a non-profit group in the Owensboro, KY area targeted towards young adults (18-25ish) who wanna meet other people their age & have a good time on occasion. Simple as that!
We are not affiliated with any religion, political movement, organization, or school. We're just a couple of young adults who have found that there isn't much to do around here for us, and more importantly, that there isn't a community that we feel like we can be a part of. So, we're stepping up and making one.
We wanna cover all sorts of different events & activities for us to do. Our ideas so far have been things like party game nights, movie nights, concert nights (specially booked for us thanks to the guys over at The Spot!), hitting up Friday after 5 as a group, and holiday-themed events like dirty santa when Christmas comes around - just to name a few! Almost anything's on the table.
ABIDO is made up of introverts and extroverts alike. We know that meeting new people can be daunting, so we aim to create an environment that's chill for every genre of person. There's no pressure for you to make a big impression on others here. You can come and kick it with us once, twice, or as many times as you'd like. Regardless of how many times you show up, you're always welcome to attend.
A COUPLE OF NOTES WORTH CONSIDERING: ABIDO is strictly 18+, and is welcome to adults up to around 25 years old - we aren't so strict about the age cap, but you do need to be considered a legal adult at the very least. Adults will be present; expect adult jokes to be made. That being said, if you consider joining us, PLEASE do not bring a toxic vibe around that will make everyone uncomfortable. Do not make edgy jokes for the sake of being edgy. Don't be that person, y'know?
